|| ABSTRACT VOICES || WHERE POETS UNITE
Abstract voices was founded in December, 2006 at Widener University by a student named Taikeya Johnson. Abstract Voices stemmed from her constant battle of being shy throughout her teen years.
In college, she continued to write her poetry, and it was then, when she discovered her voice. Her love, and talent was "Poetry", and it lead her to the conclusion that if she "learned to take action over her voice, than she would learn how to take action of her life.
Upon finding her voice, she realized that, discovering her voice is the key to life. Taikeya decided that she wanted to help other students like herself, overcome the barrier that kept her from her talent.

MANY RESPONSES WOULD BE THAT IT'S "RACISM" AND COULD GIVE VALID POINTS AND FACTS TO BACK IT UP DO TO LIFE EXPERIENCES. THEY WILL MOST LIKELY TELL YOU THAT THEY DONT USE THE WORD IN EITHER CONTEXT NO MATTER THE ENDING. "A OR ER"

ALOT OF THE YOUNGER GENERATION HAVE THE WRONG IDEA ABOUT LIFE AND WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL OR THE RIGHT ROAD TO TRAVEL WHEN BECOMING AN ADULT. NOT TO PUT BLAME ON THEM BECAUSE THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN OVERNIGHT, THIS IS FROM YEARS OF NEGLECT AND ABSENT PARENTING.
MANY YOUNG GIRLS ARE CHASING BOY & MEN TO FILL VOIDS THAT THEY DIDN'T HAVE IN THERE CHILDHOOD. MANY CHASE FASHION AND NICE CARS TO EASE THEIR MIND FROM THE PAIN OF NOT HAVING THE LOVE OF A FATHER OR FROM BEING BROUGHT UP IN A DIS-FUNCTIONAL SETTING. ONCE FASHION AND THE OPPOSITE GENDER FAILS THEM MANY YOUNG FEMALES VENTURE OUT AND START DATING THE OPPOSITE SEX....OR HAS A BABY!
IT'S A SAD CYCLE THAT ALOT OF YOUNG FEMALES ARE BECOMING STATISTICS OF. NOT TOTALLY BLAMING THEM BUT THIS POST IS FOCUSING ON THE LIFESTYLES OF MANY YOUNG FEMALES....

|| EACH ONE TEACH (N)ONE?? || BLACK COMMUNITIES SETBACK!
Ask a 15 year old in a inner city setting do they know anything about credit. Not a credit card but establishing credit. Nine times out of ten the average 15 year old being raised in a inner city area will not know. Then ask their parent or "parents". The point that I'm trying to make is what our society (middle class black americans) know about maintaining and being successful in the world we live in today. Yes, it is easy to say somebody has to be poor or everyone can't be wealthy. But look at it from an educational stand point. The younger generation is looked down upon due to their lack of knowledge and education. But who is more to blame then the parents. If their is no one telling you the difference between good and bad what makes you do right? If no one breaks down why you should being doing certain things but will tell you do so how can you expect a young mind to listen. We live in a world that's divided by race,gender,money,knowledge & education. Times have changed drastically in one sense but is the same in another. No, we aren't no longer bound together by chains but we are still slaves mentally. Take a walk to your nearest Chinese store and just listen to the various conversations that you may hear. Then take a walk to the nearest papi store or suburban chinese store...."wait" there aren't any. Life is all about structure if you can get up at 12am and leave your house to get something from a store what would be your reason in keeping your house stocked with groceries? Or making home cooked meals? The separation is our mindsets the average white american household have a set dinner time or family time so to speak. In black america the majority of the youth raise themselves. Missing out on the details in life that's instilled from parenting. What happened to the structure and the backbone (middle class and poor black americans ) had back in the 50's & 60's. I guess everything Dr. King & Malcolm X (not to mention many others) died for nothing. Or did they? Where are our role models? Many would answer "Obama" and after that the room would go silent. Some other's would mention people like Jay-Z who has achieved great wealth but came from nothing. So 20 years from now what will the history books read? >> COMMENTS WANTED!
TMZ & WORLD STAR gets a thousand comments on the material they post mainly controversial,obscene natural,violence or sexual content. But post like these get lost behind the ignorance....
